Job Summary

The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm's tax operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and optimizing tax strategies for both the firm and its clients. This role requires a strong understanding of tax laws, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex client engagements. The Tax Manager will lead the tax team and collaborate with stakeholders to provide innovative and tailored tax solutions.

 

Responsibilities

Tax Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all statutory tax filings, including VAT/GST, payroll, and corporate taxes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.


Tax Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop innovative tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions.
  • Collaborate with clients to tailor tax strategies to their unique needs and business objectives.

Client Advisory Services:

  • Provide expert advice on complex tax-related matters, helping clients navigate regulatory challenges.
  • Represent clients in tax audits and dispute resolution with tax authorities.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering professional growth and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure that team members stay updated on tax regulations and industry best practices.Audit and Risk Management:
  • Manage tax audits, ensuring thorough preparation and effective representation during engagements with regulatory authorities.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks for both clients and the firm.

Collaboration and Financial Strategy Integration:

  • Work closely with financial teams to integrate tax planning into budgeting and overall financial strategy.
  • Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Second Class Upper or equivalent).
  • 4–6 years of experience in tax consultancy or related roles.
  • CITN, ICAN, ACCA certifications preferred.
  • Big 4 experience is a strong advantage.
  • Expertise in tax compliance, VAT/GST, and payroll regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
